Killing Time

We made up time in the air so actually landed in Frankfurt 5 minutes early. I was a little nervous when an announcement came on an hour before landing asking if there were a doctor on board, as well as someone who spoke Turkish. Both specialists came forward and that’s the last we heard about it. Whew! I finally watched “Rocketman” and loved it!  (Thought of you, Kevin and Barbara.)

I’ve been wandering around the airport just to stay awake and energized. Had a smoked salmon bagel and cafe latte.I haven’t been to this airport in years—amazing how it almost feels like you’re in America. Everyone speaks English and there are a lot of Americans. Speaking of “Rocketman,” I never saw the rocket ship, Lauren. Either it’s gone or in another terminal. Or on Mars.

So interesting how differently airports work over here. There’s a team of Lufthansa gate agents calling out to passers-by, “San Diego? San Diego?” as if they’re trying to sell you a ticket! I’m guessing the gate isn’t labeled.

Here’s a photo of a bakery I passed a million times—pretty impressive for an airport! (Sorry the first photo I included in my India blog is German carbs. . .)

Three more hours until I board for India!
