Jaipur (photos of the paper factory)

Quality control workers
These workers are flattening giant sheets of paper
which will later be cut into sections and folded into
file folders for one of their clients, Delhi Police.
Tim and I are expert paper makers!
Workers folding tissue paper which will eventually get
shipped to Walmart. Abhi mentioned that it’s encouraging to
know that Hindu and Muslim women are working together.
The finished product! For $3.98 you can buy a package of tissue paper that a worker in India made. That price is roughly one day’s wages for the worker.
Factory workers making the pulp
Piles of paper scraps that will be recycled.
The colors mean nothing—dyes are
used to color all existing colors. Today
They were making red paper.
